Hawaii Attorney General warns of fake FBI phone scam
Tricksters let potential casualties know that they owe neglected fines and will be captured except if they quickly make an installment in Bitcoin, another digital currency, or different means.
The telephone number on the guest ID — 808-586-1282 — is a Branch of the Head legal officer number, loaning fake legitimacy to the trick.

The Head legal officer's office said "ridiculing" — making misleading data show up on a telephone's guest ID — normally happens with a phony nearby number or a neighborhood government policing. If you suspect that you have received a fraudulent call, you can report it to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov. It's also a good idea to notify your local law enforcement agency.
Additionally, it's a good practice to be aware of common phone scams and to never give out personal information or payment information over the phone unless you can verify the legitimacy of the caller. read more
