DIG Azfar Mehsar said that two people were killed in the blast, including a policeman and a passerby.
The bodies and the injured have been taken to Civil Hospital.
Speaking to Urdu News, Civil Hospital Spokesperson Dr. Wasim Baig confirmed the two deaths and said that 24 injured have been brought to the Civil Hospital, including policemen and civilians.

The spokesperson of the outlawed TTP further said that the 32-member committee of the Mehsud tribe and the 16-member committee of Malakand division had demanded the negotiation committee of TTP on May 13 and 14 that there should be a ceasefire during the negotiations.


There has been no official confirmation from the Pakistani government of talks with the outlawed TTP or a ceasefire. Earlier, the outlawed TTP had announced a 10-day ceasefire on Eid's eve; after the ceasefire period ended, the militant outfit extended the ceasefire till May 16.
